The Philippines is not known as a basketball powerhouse, but without any doubt, it is a country whose people live for basketball. During last year's World Championship, a basketball court was found on every free piece of land and people generally love the game under the hoops.

This island country, out of love for basketball, decided to make a revolution and introduce the four-point shot! As the local media announced, this innovation will be used during the Governor's Cup, a competition that starts in mid-August. Previously, it passed the experimental phase during the All Star Game of the Philippine Championship.

The revolutionary change was approved by the Board of Directors of this competition. Essentially, it will be a shot from a long distance, a more accurate line will be drawn at a distance of 8.20 meters from the basket! According to the internal regulations, the three-point shot will not change and will remain at a distance of 6.75 meters.
